Charmone Newell Starts a Dog Training Business!

We're happy to welcome our newest Franchise Owner, Charmone Newell, to the Dog Training Elite family! Coming from a deep military background, Charmone brings a hard work ethic and instructional experience to her new pet training business in Kennesaw, Georgia. We're ecstatic to have her on board with us and can't wait to see what the future brings!

Charmone's occupational history speaks for itself. Born and raised in Washington State, Charmone joined the Washington Air National Guard in 1991 as a radar operator. She excelled at this position and was hand-selected as a Non-Commissioned Officer Academy Instructor in August of 2000, transferring to Maryville, Tennessee. She went on to join the Tennessee Air National Guard in 2002, becoming a recreation supervisor. While this background seems impressive to most, this was just the beginning of Charmone's illustrious career in the Armed Forces. In January 2006, she served on a special duty tour as a 1st Sergeant for the 94th Mission Support Group. She then returned to service in July 2009 and was transferred to the Air Force Reserve as a Fitness Center Manager in Dobbins, Georgia. In May 2013, Charmone was selected again for another tour as a 1st sergeant, this time in an Aeromedical Evacuation unit. She finished out her military career as a Field Training Instructor for the 622nd Engineering group, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant in July 2019. During her career, Charmone received a plethora of awards, including the Tennessee National Guard Individual Achievement Ribbon, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Humanitarian Service Medal, among others.

Charmone's instructional background coincides perfectly with the Dog Training Elite business model, which focuses on instilling life-long habits and skills in dogs. In addition to her military instruction, she also worked for several years as a middle and high school teacher and a principal. Her teaching skills will transfer perfectly to her pet training business as she helps to solidify the bond between dogs and their owners. Determination and rigor, such as that of Charmone, are incredibly beneficial when it comes to training dogs. We believe it will lead her to be quite successful as a Dog Training Elite Franchise Owner!

A significant feature of the Dog Training Elite training model is our military and retired vet training program. The program coincides with the mission of our Malinois Foundation, which aims to provide hope and recovery to veterans and Americans in need through canine assistance. Through the specialized program, military and retired veteran service dogs can give those who have served with 24/7 companionship and support, increased independence, safety, and help increase integration back into civilian life. Active service members also receive a 10% discount on all Dog Training Elite services! Being a veteran herself, Charmone is especially keen to help the veteran community through her dog training services.

The passion Charmone has for her new career is something shared by all Dog Training Elite Franchise Owners. Our owners are doing more than merely running a business. They are truly making a difference in the lives of those in need every day! Additionally, Charmone is looking forward to the ideal work/life balance that owning a pet training business with Dog Training Elite will provide her. She gets to work on her own schedule and can spend more time with her husband, Ty, and her 21-year-old daughter Sable, both of whom she plans to integrate into her business. Charmone can also rest easy knowing that the Dog Training Elite support team has her back through the entire franchising process! This includes pushing marketing efforts, finding customers, and training employees.

The sense of personal fulfillment is high for Dog Training Elite Franchise Owners, as is the potential for large profits! Since our dog training business is home-based, our Franchise Owners have low overhead costs and avoid real estate fees. This pairs perfectly with our limited staffing requirements and our low initial investment! Furthermore, with our variety of training programs and classes, our streamlined business model provides multiple revenue streams for our owners. During the past year, our average gross revenue was $973,756*!

It's Franchise Owners like Charmone that help to shape our brand. While they hail from a variety of different backgrounds, they all share several things in common: a passion for dogs and for making a difference within their communities.
