Happy New Year! To start the new decade, we wanted to better acquaint our customers with our fantastic CEO, Kelley Rosequist. Kelley has been with our Pet Franchise since 2012 and has been fundamental in our success! Learn what she values most about being on board with Dog Training Elite and what she looks forward to in the future!

Q: What motivates you every day?
A: What drives me to do this is the impact we have on lives. Every day, I’m amazed at the relationships we forge between your average family and their dog. Even more than that are some of the service dogs that we get in training. We’ve seen people’s lives change so dramatically, from being locked in their homes with no option of getting out to living a free life!

Q: What aspect of Dog Training Elite are you most passionate about?
A: I am super passionate about the support side of things. Our training is very in-depth. We have our Franchise Owners come here to Salt Lake City to work with us for two weeks. They’ll be working with John (Our Founder) himself and go out on appointments. They get to meet the families and see the impact that is happening in the community.

Q: Tell us about the process of launching new franchise locations.
A: As soon as you’re ready to launch, we’re there with you on your launch days. We help your launch with a local event. We dispatch our team, and we spend an entire week with you in your territory. In that first year, we do come out an additional week to your territory and focus on whatever it is that you want us to focus on during that time.

Q: Why are you trying to replicate this business model?
A: We’re trying to replicate this business model because we’re changing lives and impacting families. Honestly, our Franchise Owners are very profitable in doing so. We’re a for-profit company that has a meaning.

Q: Do you love what you do?
A: There are a number of reasons why I love doing what I do. But, the number one reason is seeing Franchise Owners come in that never envisioned that this could be their life. They never envisioned that they could find a career that was fulfilling, that gave them meaning, and that they were profitable at the end of the day. This job has a long-lasting impact on the pet and the pet owner that other businesses just can’t provide.

Leaders on our team like Kelley are precisely why our Franchise Owners can feel like they’re taken care of. Kelley and her team are with them along every step of the franchising process, from initial training to acquiring multiple territories. Whether it be finding new customers, spearheading marketing efforts, or implementing new training techniques, our Franchise Owners can rest easy knowing that the Dog Training Elite support team always has their back.
