Group Dog Training Class Schedule
Please Note: Group Classes are for Dog Training Elite Clients Only
Dog Training Elite offers small dog training classes after obedience training is completed and only once a dog is fully immunized. Dog obedience classes in Pittsburgh are held on a consistent basis and are included in most packages. Our dog obedience training classes are designed to place yourself and your dog in public places (surrounded by other dogs, people, smells, and sounds), so that you can train your dog to obey you... regardless of the many distractions screaming for their attention!
Boot Camp for New and Experienced Dog Owners - $150
Dog Training Elite Pittsburgh, in collaboration with Allegheny County Parks and Recreation Department, is pleased to offer a “Boot Camp” for new and experienced dog parents. Classes will be held on January 8 and January 15, 2023 from 1:30-3:30 in the Home Economics Building at South Park. Registration is available here.
This “Boot Camp” is designed to help you develop a more fulfilling and healthier relationship with your dog. The course begins with guidelines for selecting a dog that meets your lifestyle and objectives, provides advice to make your first days together more compatible, and discusses socialization and enrichment that is critical for development of positive temperament and behavior. Healthcare topics cover home healthcare and health awareness as well as veterinary care. Communication and training tips are included to help you recognize and address obedience and behavior issues.
The $150 cost for the four hour course includes $25-$50 coupons for select Dog Training Elite Pittsburgh training services. Profits from this course will be donated to The Malinois Foundation, a non-profit with the mission of providing service dogs to veterans, first responders, women survivors and children with special needs.

Classes are a mix of all dog breeds and sizes, and our classes provide necessary socialization skills and practice around high levels of distraction. We like to make our group classes exciting for both dogs and handlers, we have created fun training games and an environment that feels less like a class and more like a social outing. We are building a community and our dog training groups tend to feel like a family and less like a dog training group. Friends are made, bonds are formed, and both dogs and dog owners look forward to their once a week group training sessions.
